Cup point set screws are a fully-threaded stud-like fastener with an indented hexagon or "allen" drive at one end and a cup-shaped indentation on the other end. The thin edge of the cup digs into the mating surface for holding power. Stainless steel cup point set screws are made from 18-8(304) stainless steel for excellent corrosion resistance.
