Cup point set screws are a fully-threaded stud-like fastener with an indented hexagon or "allen" drive at one end and a cup-shaped indentation on the other end. The thin edge of the cup digs into the mating surface for holding power. Metric cup point set screws are Grade 12.9 and have a minimum tensile strength of 177,000 PSI and are black oxide coated.
