Female pipe unions are made to join two sections of pipe together so that lines can be accessed without unthreading pipe connections. They feature female pipe thread on both sides for connector male externally threaded pipe with a hex in the center so both sides can be tighted at once for a sealed connection. They are made for use with air, natural gas, oil, and water and are made of brass for excellent resistance to corrosion.
