Steel single barb fittings offer excellent resistance to vibration and are made for use with rubber hose, rubber tubing, and thermoplastic tubing. The barb resists pull out although a clamp is reaquired for a completely sealed connection. Male straight fittings feature a tube connector on one end and male pipe thread on the other for threading into internally threaded mating parts and are made of zinc plated steel for strength and fair corrosion resistance.
