Our standard thread hexagon rethreading dies are made from high-speed steel which lasts considerably longer than standard high-carbon steel. They are designed for tough cutting applications on all types of external threads and are usually used to cut new threads or "clean-up" and rethread existing threads without undercutting the good threads. The hexagon shape makes it easy to use with adjustable wrenches.
