Our jobber length M42 cobalt drill bits are a general purpose drill bit made from the highest quality M42 cobalt. It features a 135* split point for quickly sinking into even the hardest materials acting like a pilot point and removing the need for pilot drilling. The M42 cobalt material allows for drilling hardened steels, stainless steels, high temperature alloys, titanium and certain plastics. The high heat capacity of this material allows for up to 30% higher drilling speeds than standard high speed steels.
